Which services we offer

LCL

PART LOAD (LCL): With a part load by sea freight you share the shipping container with other importers and exporters. A part load is worth considering when the volume of the shipment is still too low for a full container.

The rates for a part load are calculated on the CBM (m3) and the weight. Vrieze Trading helps you calculate the tipping point towards an FCL shipment.

FCL

FULL CONTAINER (FCL): With FCL the entire container is yours to fill. No other importers or exporters will use your container.

The containers most commonly used are: the 20ft container (33m3 loading volume), the 40ft container (66m3 loading volume) and the 40ft HC container (76m3 loading volume).

Besides the usual containers we also offer the option of special equipment (flat racks, open tops, platforms, etc.).

RORO

ROLL-ON, ROLL-OFF (RORO): If your goods do not fit into a container, you can make use of our ro/ro service. With ro/ro the goods are loaded onto the vessel without any container being involved.

Goods that are frequently shipped on a ro/ro basis include: cars, trailers, tractors, campervans or any other type of heavy machinery or equipment on wheels.

Customs

Customs handling: Are you going to import goods from a non-EU country, or export goods to a non-EU country? Then the goods have to be declared to customs.

With imports this is called ‘entry’ (customs clearance) and with exports it is called ‘exit’ (export clearance). With imports, customs clearance is included as standard.

Port handling

Container Service Charges (CSC or THC): These are the operations that have to be carried out for FCL sea freight.

With LCL, warehouse operations are added. Vrieze Trading organises both.

Last mile

TRUCKING: Whether it concerns container trucking for your FCL shipment, delivery by lorry for your LCL shipment or transferring your goods by transloading.
