Transporting your goods safely and protected

Lashing goods is of the utmost importance for the safety and preservation of the cargo. When preparing for transport it is important first to determine how best to protect the load against outside influences.

Depending on the nature of the goods, a choice can be made for closed containers or containers that are partly open, such as flat rack containers. To protect goods optimally it is possible to shrink-wrap them in special film before transport. For sea transport, a corrosion-resistant VCI shrink film is a sensible choice for goods that are susceptible to corrosion.

Lashing: a precise job for experts

Lashing is a precise and time-consuming job. It always has to take account of the movements the transport may make along the way. Lashing is therefore a job for experts who know exactly what they are doing.

Various methods can be used to secure the load. After the goods have first been carefully packed, the load can be stowed rigidly or with shock absorption. This depends on the nature of the cargo.

Rigid or shock-absorbing stowage of containers and flat racks

The hold of a vessel has to be used to its full potential through the stowage of the containers. In addition, the cargo is secured extra firmly by lashing it with various types of aids.

Depending on the cargo, goods can be secured rigidly or with shock absorption. For rigid stowage we prefer to use blocking timber, nylon straps or dunnage bags to secure the goods. For shock-absorbing stowage, airbags and/or cocolok floors are used.

After we have carefully packed your goods, we stow your containers – or those of the shipping line – with the same expertise and efficiency. We make optimum use of the hold and ensure a good distribution and sea-fastened securing of the cargo.

Inland shipping service

We have recently been able to offer our services via inland shipping. With our quay crane we can load and unload vessels from the water. Out of gauge cargo, flat racks and shipping containers.

After that we can store the cargo on our premises, or transport it to its destination. We can also stuff, strip or lash the cargo.
